Fun to Feel Important

It’s fun to feel important. A couple days ago I hopped on a flight to San Francisco, for a business trip, and my very first one at that! It was fun to have my flight payed for and to arrive with my very own greeter (Dad) waiting for me at my gate. To extend my good feelings of importance, I was also so privileged as to have a driver (Dad again).
We promptly left the airport in our Chrysler Sebring convertible and cruised down the Highway to Apple HQ. At Apple they graced us with an employee discount just adding to my specialness.
SonicWALL has even been giving me the special treatment. We have a catered lunch each day and last night we event went for a night on the town. It all started with bowling and then out for a great dinner at one of those places where you sit around the grill and watch all of your food getting cooked. Our server was one “Jose” a really really funny guy that had the dryest humour ever.
Now I’m excited to return home and get the special treatment I’m used to in the way of wonderful meals and nurturing from my sweetheart Katie. I think It’s the first time I’ve ever gone somewhere away from Katie for more than 24 hours. Back with Katie, there will be homemade bread, cookies, and meals awaiting me and of course the all important hugs and kisses from the love of my life.
Yes, it’s fun to feel important and special. What’s happened to you lately that’s made you feel important or special?

Freyja and Cora made me V-day socks and they are so cute! I’m totally loving the little things that come from the kids! It makes me feel so much less like the aunt that is far away and unremembered. I love being loved!!
Driving a convertible made me feel important. And being pampered by my friends in San Francisco also felt real good.
Evan “misses” me even when he is sitting with me! all day I hear ” i miss you mommy.” followed by a kiss and hug. that makes me pretty special. Also Kent and i went on a great date night last night kid free. That was pretty special!!! I love spending time with just him, even in a crowd.
So proud of you Conor - you totally deserve it! :)
